WEDDINGS, COMMITMENT CEREMONIES AND VOW RENEWALS

As you are well aware Weddings, Commitment Ceremonies and Vow Renewals are EXTREMELY special occasions. LET'S PARTY!!! Mobile DJ Service is Northern California's Premier Wedding Team!

We will first meet, hopefully at least a couple of months before the wedding to discuss the music. At this time we will give you some homework, i.e. figure out what you want your first dance song to be. It is the first dance you and your new spouse will dance to and is a very personal song which really should come from your heart. We can help with some suggestions though. We will work as a team to put together a list of songs that you want to dance to with your wedding party and family. We will also discuss the timing of wedding and whether you need music for the wedding ceremony itself or just the reception.  At the end of our first meeting, we will leave you with some suggestions for the order of events and songs to dance to. We will be in contact several times prior to the wedding putting all of this together and you can call me anytime with song requests to add to your list. If necessary, we will get together in person again to listen to music and make your final choices. Of course should you want to change any of the songs you pick out just let us know and we will make sure they get changed.

The day of the wedding, we will arrive early and get set up and then I will change into my tuxedo. My wife, Justine, will accompany me dressed in formal wear.  She is a great help when it comes to coordinating the ceremony and then gathering your family members together for their dances so the reception flows very smoothly. When your guests arrive at the reception, there will be soft background music playing for them to enjoy. When the wedding party arrives after taking photos, I will announce them and then give a grand entrance for you. We will make sure there is background music playing throughout the dinner and work with the caterer and photographer to keep everything moving along. We have a wireless microphone to use when it comes time for the toast. By the way, the toast can be done in a couple of different ways; the best man usually does the main toast and then some of the bridal party may also want to give a quick toast and that is it, or we can have an "open" microphone where anyone that wants to say a few words can do so. The latter can be a lot of fun but sometimes the microphone seems to "malfunction" :) when your best college friend who has had tooooo much to drink already starts telling private stories about when you went to that frat party in college and ....... By the way, it doesn't really malfunction, I just turn it down and then move on to the next person for whom it miraculously works. I try to make as few announcements as possible and only when necessary. Once dinner and the toasting is over, we will move on to the cake cutting, first dance and then the other family dances. We then get the party started and dance for about 20 minutes before doing the garter and bouquet throw.  When we finish with the formalities then the party really gets started and we just keep the music coming. Some venues have restrictions on how loud the music can be and we are very cognisant of this. If your guests have requests, we play them as quickly as possible, but we are also careful not to play music that may be inappropriate for the occasion or that you have indicated that you do not want played. We do have a huge selection of music and can find something to satisfy almost everyones taste.
