THE HISTORY OF LET'S PARTY!!! Mobile DJ Service

LET'S PARTY!!! Mobile DJ Service came into being in 1996 in Sebastopol, California. Shortly thereafter I moved to the Sacramento, California area and have been entertaining at weddings all over Northern California ever since. Although LET'S PARTY!!! Mobile DJ Service began in 1996; It really was born on a February day back in 1951 when DJ Phred entered the world. I know, I know, I'm an old guy!! But music keeps me young at heart and in touch with the younger generations. Music has always been a big part of my life. In high school I founded and played lead guitar for a couple of rock bands back in Berwyn, Illinois. The one band even won a "battle of the bands" and was awarded a recording session at a recording company in the big city of Chicago; our big break just like our schoolmates in "The Ides of March"! You do remember the Ides of March and their huge hit "Vehicle" in 1970. After a couple of trips to the recording company it became very apparent that the whole thing was a scam and our big break never happened. I had to be content with filling "The Ides" hearse with gas at the Bulko gas station across from Morton West High School on Friday nights before they took off for their weekend gigs. Of course we still played local gigs; sockhops and things like that but then we graduated and went off to college or the military. "The Sunlit Black" and "Grafitti" didn't even make the "One Hit Wonder" list.

Once I entered the Navy,  I stopped playing the guitar. Music remained a big factor in my life and throughout the years whenever there has been a company party,  birthday party, or some function that needed music, I provided it. I even did the music for my own wedding receptions in 1973 and 2005.

Fast forward to 1996...... I took over the announcer position at Sacramento Raceway Park's 1/4 mile dirt oval. Announcing for the weekly Stock Car Races was exciting and, being a dirt track racer myself, kept me on top of my favorite sport. I started playing music before the races, whenever there was an extended break in the action, and during the intermission. Oh, the intermissions were great fun! I would put on the Macarena, YMCA, and Chicken Dance every week and dance on the bleachers with the kids. My philosophy was, and still is, that if you get the kids involved they will want to come back every week and they will drag the parents and friends along and you will fill up the stands. Then one day  my friend Steve Fritz, who worked at the track and was also a mobile dj took me aside and showed me what I needed to do to start my own mobile dj business. Thank you Steve, you are the real father of "LET'S PARTY!!! Mobile DJ Service. 

Since that day I have been providing fun and music for weddings all over Northern California from Elk on the Mendocino Coast to Sebastopol, Geyserville, Lake Tahoe, and of course, the Sacramento area.

In May of 2005 I married the love of my life and soul mate, Justine Crossno. What a wonderful world it can be! Now we run LET'S PARTY!!! Mobile DJ Service as a husband and wife team so you get both of us at your wedding. By the way, it is really surprising how much smoother a wedding flows when you have 2 people helping coordinate the events. Always hire a DJ and assistant or 2 DJs to work your wedding, you'll be glad you did.
